How we work

Primary sources only

Every factual claim links to CMS, the IRS, the Department of Labor, HealthCare.gov, or the statute itself - not to another blog.

Dated, not evergreen-forever

Dollar limits and deadlines change every year. Each page shows the date its figures were last verified, so you know what you are reading.

Tools never transmit what you type

Every calculator, tracker, and template runs in your browser. Lab values, weights, account numbers - none of it is sent or stored. The one exception on the site is the optional newsletter box, which sends exactly one thing: the email address you type into it.

Nobody pays us for placement

No hospital, insurer, or billing company pays to appear here. The site runs on reader donations and, eventually, ordinary display ads.
